Job Description
We are currently seeking a Director of Operations for a full time, direct hire opportunity. This individual will be joining an 3PL operation with multiple locations across the US. The Director is responsible for high level organization oversight of all locations with each department leader reporting directly into them (accounting, HR, brokerage, safety, operations, etc.). This includes directing all warehouse, distribution, and transportation activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and accurate order fulfillment by working directly with internal leadership. Safety and compliance are a large focus of this this role and will need to always be front of mind to help improve operations. Additionally, it is expected for this individual to support key customer relationships as needed, oversee financials reporting and budgeting processes, be involved with pricing and contract negotiation, promote and support project initiatives, and other duties as assigned. There are roughly a dozen locations across the US, 250 trucks (90% company drivers), 700 trailers and roughly 500 employees this individual will be responsible for overseeing. This role will require working onsite in Knoxville TN with up to 50% travel to roughly a dozen locations across the US and had a salary expectation of $125-150k annually with possible flexibility for the right candidate.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of management experience within a 3PL or 4PL environment
Strong 3PL DOT Safety and Compliance knowledge
Experience overseeing all trucking operations across multiple location
Comfortable traveling domestically as needed (up to 50% of the time)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
McLeod software experience
Currently or previously held a CDL
