Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Plant Quality Manager for a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client. This individual will serve as the primary quality leader for the plant, acting as the voice of the customer while partnering with production, engineering, and executive leadership teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in automotive quality systems, customer relationship management, and advanced problem-solving methodologies. They will lead a team of quality professionals, drive corrective action initiatives, oversee compliance with IATF and customer-specific standards, and navigate complex manufacturing challenges in a rapidly evolving automotive industry. This role is ideal for a strong, customer-facing quality leader who can translate technical issues into business solutions, build high-performing teams, and successfully operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.

Responibilities include:
• Serve as the voice of the customer within the manufacturing plant
• Lead customer discussions regarding quality concerns, financial impacts, and corrective actions
• Manage and develop a quality organization consisting of engineers, lab technicians, and quality technicians
• Ensure compliance with IATF standards, customer requirements, and quality systems
• Analyze quality trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Track customer scorecards, satisfaction metrics, and quality costs
• Collaborate with production, corporate leadership, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure quality standards are consistently followed across multiple departments and teams
• Lead quality audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
• Address complex manufacturing challenges related to product variation, transportation defects, and evolving EV industry requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and simplify complex technical issues for stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Quality Management experience in a Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication interacting with customers to navigate complex technical concepts related to quality
• Strong analytics background with the ability to utilize and interpret data for root cause analysis and drive corrective actions
• People-first leader with proven ability to coach and developing quality teams
• Knowledge of IATF Automotive Standards
• Experience managing customer complaints, scorecards, and quality metrics
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure manufacturing environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• Six Sigma tools/certification or A3 Problem Solving methodology
• Toyota Production System / Toyota quality methodologies, Basic VDA Core Tools knowledge
