Job Description

The Birth Certificate Specialist is responsible for processing and issuing birth certificates accurately and in full compliance with state regulations. This role works within state vital records systems (VRISM) to manage sensitive patient data, support multiple campus locations, and ensure required turnaround times are met. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and prior vital records experience are critical to success.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ months of direct experience processing birth certificates or working with vital records
Hands-on experience using VRISM or similar state birth certificate systems
Ability to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Hospital or health system background
Experience working across multiple locations
High-volume administrative or registration experience
