A client of Insight Global is seeking an Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting division on a contract basis. This individual will analyze and perform accounting duties for the corporate financials accounting division within their coal department. This individual will prepare reconciliations, financial statements, and stay in compliance with SEC & SOX accounting standards. Responsibilities will include assisting in improving business processes and internal controls for financial reporting. This accountant will come from an accounting or financial background with knowledge of SEC regulations and general accounting standards. This individual will be highly adaptable at picking up new systems, possess strong excel experience, and will have a high attention to detail. Responsibilities will include assisting in month-end & quarter-end close, booking journal entries, executing reconciliations, and analyzing compliance standards. Additional responsibilities may include assessing accrued liability, working with prepays, and reconciling inventory reports.
