Job Description

A client of Insight Global's is looking for an Electronic Controls Engineer to join their collaborative team onsite in Chattanooga, TN. This individual's primary responsibility will be refining and designing control systems, as well as maintaining existing field installations through troubleshooting. Additionally, in this role you will be specifying, developing, and testing new platforms of hardware and firmware to meet and exceed demands for speed and overall performance. Other responsibilities could include creating contingency plans for electronic product life cycle, providing guidance to external groups, and participating in continuous improvement and R&D projects.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience designing, developing, & maintaining controls systems
- Experience working with VFD's, Servo Controls/Motors, actuators, & rotating/linear sensors

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience designing in LabView
- Experience with control cabinet layout and wiring layouts
- Experience developing & testing various hardware/firmware for optimal motor speed and performance
