Job Description

Insight Global is working with a growing consulting firm focused on serving Agricultural Clients – Grain, Feed, Fertilizer, Chemical, and Fuel. Design Responsibilities:

Provide electrical engineering design services to Agricultural and Industrial Clients including – power distribution design, grounding and underground, lighting system design, motor controls & automation, and data system design.

Develop AutoCAD and Revit drawings of electrical systems described above with the assistance of internal designers and drafters.

Develop motor and field instrument schedules based on information provided on PFD’s and P&ID’s

Perform arc flash and coordination studies for electrical distribution systems.

Attend continuing education courses to keep up with the industry trends – continued education is paid by MEI.



Client Development Responsibilities:

Serve as company liaison to existing clients to help ensure that existing project designs meet their expectations and are being delivered on time and within budget.

Develop new clients within the agricultural industry that need design support and allow our employees to fulfill MEI’s mission and vision.

Develop new service areas that serve our existing and new client base. Examples of new service areas include but are not limited to the following: Dust Hazard Analysis Studies, commissioning and startup support, equipment hazard monitoring verification, and behind the meter renewable energy.

Attend and present at industry conferences and trade shows.

Develop internal client management tools that can be used to streamline proposals, project budgets, client communication, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

Education & Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

12 - 15 years of experience in the agricultural and industrial sectors

Eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship



Knowledge & Skills:

Working knowledge of the following computer software packages: Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote)

Willingness to learn and use arc flash and electrical system coordination software packages: SKM or ETAP

Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)

Experience in design of electrical systems for agricultural and industrial facilities is preferred
