Role Summary
The Senior Project Manager will lead complex nuclear electrical and instrumentation projects from early planning through execution. This role owns project charters, funding packages, schedules, and financial performance while coordinating cross‑functional teams including engineering, project controls, scheduling, and external contractors. Projects range from smaller “white‑level” upgrades to large, system‑level “green‑level” capital projects up to $100M+.
This PM is hands‑on, highly collaborative, and comfortable engaging directly with teams in the field and in front of review boards.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and own project charters, funding packages, and detailed project plans
• Manage 1–2 active projects while planning 1–2 future projects
• Lead electrical (low/medium voltage) and instrumentation & control (I&C) projects, including system upgrades and replacements
• Run weekly project status meetings (agenda creation, leadership, follow‑ups)
• Prepare status reports, documentation, and executive / review board presentations
• Maintain strong focus on project financials, cost controls, and risk management
• Partner closely with engineering, scheduling, and project controls teams
• Lead green‑level projects involving large contracting firms and major system replacements
• Provide oversight, decision‑making, and leadership across the full project lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Proven experience developing project charters and funding packages
• Experience managing capital projects ($5M–$100M+)
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost management, and risk
• Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
• Utility, energy, or nuclear project experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to engage cross‑functionally and in person
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Nuclear project experience (electrical and/or instrumentation)
• Experience managing white‑level and green‑level projects
• Primavera P6, Power BI, SharePoint
• Nuclear Asset Suite or similar systems
• PMP, PE, CMII, AACE, or utility certifications
• Background in estimating, costing, or project controls
• Engineering, Construction Management, or MBA/MS degree
• Experience presenting to governance or review boards
