Job Description

The QSE is responsible for engineering and executing improvements, supporting engineering efforts that relate to quality improvement at all stages of the product life cycle, and participating in and supporting activities involving compliance with applicable regulatory and QMS requirements. QSE is also responsible for coordinating and executing the plan to maintain an IATF-certified quality system at the company.


Essential Functions:

1. Provide quality service to internal and external customers in all assigned tasks,
2. Evaluate business goals, identify improvement opportunities and apply scientific methods, statistics and
problem solving techniques to improve and sustain product quality and process effectiveness.
3. Plan and execute projects and team activities to facilitate changes that have a statistical impact on
business results, especially as it relates to meeting and exceeding customer expectations
4. Establish programs, policies and procedures to evaluate precision, accuracy and capability of processes,
products, production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
5. Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System.
6. Schedule and perform audit activities, to include pre-audit planning, audit execution, audit evaluation and
Post-audit follow-up / recommendations.
7. Assist operating units with development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans to
Improve overall ISO compliance and quality results.
8. Compile & write training material and conduct training sessions on improvement tools & methodologies.
9. Ensure applicability of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by keeping informed of the latest
updates/ modifications related to ISO quality systems.
10. Support the development and administration of the customer corrective and preventative action (CAPA),
internal non-conformance, and Quality Management Systems


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filling cabinets and fax machines. This job will also be exposed to manufacturing environment, such as production lines, power industrial trucks, and/or other manufacturing machines.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Bachelors degree with three years of quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment or a
combination of education coupled with five years of relevant experience.
2. Proven working experience of lean Manufacturing concepts.
3. Proven experience working with SAP/ERP system and respective quality management modules.
4. Proficiency with MS office suite.

1. Ability to understand and apply statistical and business improvement tools to improve and sustain business
results.
2. Organizational, practical mathematical (statistical) skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
3. Communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
4. Ability to conceptualize, analyze, plan and organize projects.
5. Reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution.
6. Knowledge and ability to understand and apply process audit principles (ISO/ASQ).
7. Experience in quality control program operations, to include standards & measurement techniques.
8. Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment.
9. Ability to communicate detailed, technical initiatives to non-technical people.
10. Experience with high level production utilizing root cause analysis, AT reports, APQP and PPAP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Quality Systems, Industrial Engineering, or other Technical field
2. Product knowledge and familiarity
3. Automotive manufacturing experience as a Tier 1 supplier
4. Experience with IATF / ISO standards and procedures
5. Experience in a leadership position or training role
6. German language experience (reading, writing, speaking)
