Conduct field surveys to assess existing infrastructure, identify potential locations for new installations and determine feasibility of proposed network expansions.
Monitor and manage the installation of OSP infrastructure by contractors, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Provide technical assistance to field crews during installation and troubleshooting of network issues related to OSP components.
Maintains accurate records of project details, including as-built drawings, materials lists, and installation reports.
Ensures Compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and permitting requirements for OSP construction.
Works closely with other engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
Other duties as directed by management.

High School diploma or GED; prefer electrical degree or certificate
A minimum of 2 years of on-hand outside plant (OSP) experience in the following areas:
o Permitting buried and aerial facilities.
o Copper plant design.
o Long haul fiber sizing and design.
o FTTH design for both Greenfield and Brownfield subdivisions.
Experience using CableCAD, ESRI ArcMap, or other design, drafting, or mapping software.
Understanding of telecommunications network principles, including fiber optic technology, cable sizing, and network topology
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve technical challenges in the field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform field inspections
Clean driving record. Working knowledge of basic electricity. Detail oriented. Must work as a team member with individuals both inside and outside the company.
