Job Description

We are seeing a highly skilled motivated Network Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise Network Operations Center (ENOC), manage a team of talented Networking Engineers and Technicians, and oversee our network facilities across multiples sites in a telecommunications environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our network infrastructure. The role also includes responsibility for vendor management, mentoring team members, driving strategic projects, and managing budgets.

Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network engineers, technicians and NOC staff.
Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support career development for team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Network Operations
Oversee 24/7 operations of the Network Operations Center, ensuring prompt response to incidents and outages.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and service levels.
Ensure proper documentation, change management, and compliance with ITIL or similar frameworks.

Project & Budget Management
Plan and lead strategic network initiatives including upgrades, expansions, and security enhancements.
Develop project timelines, manage resources, and ensure deliverables are met within scope and budget.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.

Network Facilities Oversight
Manage physical network infrastructure including data centers, POPs, and remote facilities.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and compliance.

Vendor & Stakeholder Relations
Manage relationships with key vendors, carriers, and technology partners.
Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and procurement processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across IT, security, operations, and executive leadership

Strategic Planning & Reporting
Contribute to long-term network strategy and architecture planning.
Provide regular reports on network health, performance, and project status to senior leadership.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting network operations.

Required Skills & Experience

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
5-7 years of experience within telecommunications
5 plus years management experience.
Leadership and team development
Strategic thinking and execution
Technical expertise in networking
Communication and stakeholder management
Problem-solving and decision-making
Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, firewalls, and network automation tools.
Experience working with carrier-grade infrastructure and fiber network deployments.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Operations center background
- Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent.
