Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer for a top manufacturing client. In this role, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance across the full manufacturing lifecycle. Day to day, this individual will conduct in‑process and factory inspections, support lab testing, manage calibration and quality logs, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). They will analyze quality data and KPIs such as scrap rates and first‑pass yield, lead root cause analysis for nonconformances, and drive corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with engineering, production, and inspection teams. This role will also audit internal systems against ISO and customer standards, develop and enforce quality procedures and SOPs, support customer and third‑party audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and data‑driven methodologies to reduce defects, variability, and cost while improving customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
Hands‑on experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality
Strong understanding of NCRs, CARs, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS)
Ability to analyze quality data, calculate KPIs (scrap rates, FPY), and identify trends
Familiarity with ISO standards and internal/customer quality audits
Strong attention to detail with the ability to enforce quality standards and procedures
Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and inspection teams
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Six Sigma training or certification
Experience with JIRA or similar systems for quality tracking
Background in electrical or industrial manufacturing environments
Experience supporting lab testing and inspection teams
Prior involvement with external audits, certifications, or regulatory approvals
Experience creating SOPs, technical documentation, and training materials
Exposure to ERP systems and manufacturing data analytics
