Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Hybrid Lead Electrical Engineer to join our clients team, a world-renowned consultancy and engineering firm in the energy and materials sector. The ideal candidate will oversee the development of design criteria, manage resources, ensure quality control, and liaise with project management and clients. This candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of awarded power systems projects. Their expertise will be instrumental in advancing initiatives across a diverse range of industrial settings, including Power Plants, Pulp & Paper Mills, Chemical Plants, Cement Plants, and Cogeneration Plants. Responsibilities include preparing specifications, data sheets, and purchase requisitions for various electrical equipment, assisting in cost estimation, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The role requires collaboration with engineers, technologists, and designers to deliver electrical designs and documentation for diverse projects, ensuring integration and support through to commissioning. Experience in 3D modeling and a strategic approach to handling multiple small-scale projects or large projects are essential. This is a hybrid position with the ideal candidate sitting around the Greenville, SC area. While the majority of the job is done remotely, there is minimal travel associated with this role that is based on the project needs. They will also be responsible for mentoring a team of junior engineers. Some other responsibilities of the job are below:

Resource Management and Planning
Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical
Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline
Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for Paper Machine Drives, Switchgear, Transformers , Generators, Variable Frequency Drives, DC Systems and other electrical equipment as required. Review Vendor Documents
Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
Work with electrical engineers, technologists and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects
Prepare electrical designs, calculations and bills of material

Required Skills & Experience

Leadership experience while working on a large-scale industrials project (Project Size. Hundred Million-Billion)
Previous Project Management Experience (They will be the main POC coordinating with Client.)
Experience with the Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
Need to be open to getting a Professional Engineering License

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Power Plant, Pulp and Paper Mill, Chemical Plants, Cement Plant and/or Cogen Plant power design experience preferred
Currently holds a PE License (If you dont currently hold one, do you have your FE/ EIT certificate or are you willing to get one)
Previous experience working with ETAP/SKM/EASYPOWER/Revit/CAD
