Job Description

Responsibilities:
Work Holding Design: Design work holding solutions for machine tools.
In-Process Models: Create in-process models for use by programmers, manufacturing engineers, and other users.
Tool and Fixture Design: Design jigs, tools, gages, assembly tooling, and production aids.
3D Printing: Design parts for polymer 3D printing.
Technical Support: Provide technical support for fixture builds and troubleshooting.
Drawing Interpretation: Interpret drawing requirements with strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M 2009).
PLM Systems: Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for design and documentation.
Hydraulic Clamping: Apply knowledge of hydraulic clamping systems in designs.
Pneumatic Systems: Knowledge of pneumatic systems is a plus.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with export control regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

Skillset:
High School diploma (preferred: 4-year degree in engineering or 2-year technical degree).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in NX CAD.
Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M 2009).
Experience using PLM systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic clamping systems.
Pneumatic system knowledge is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passionate about continuous improvement and applying LEAN principles.
