Job Description

Insight Global is looking for 1 Field Service Technician work for one of our clients who specialize in fiber thermoforming and molded fiber technology. This field service technician will support plants in the Including the US, Canada, and several European countries such as France, Spain, and Scotland. They will be responsible for providing prompt and professional exemplary service to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair customer technical issues on industrial automation projects utilizing robotics, programmable controllers, servos, pneumatics, hydro processing systems, and multi-ton mechanical presses. This Technician will report directly into the Aftermarket Solutions Manager and will need to be able to work with little supervision.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5-6 years experience working as a service or maintenance technician.
Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, technical diagrams, and machine layouts.
Experience troubleshooting and repair of mechatronic based machines, industrial electrical panels, and robotics.
Ability to perform basic controls software tasks such as program backups, setting IP
addresses, and making minor edits with supervision.
Adept and using hand tools and power tools.
Able to work independently with little supervision

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Rockwell controls and FANUC robotics preferred.
