Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the design and development of optical probes and rake instrumentation used in gas turbine testing and development. This role is well suited for an entry level or early career engineer who is eager to apply engineering fundamentals to real hardware and grow within a fast paced, hands on environment.
The Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and lab teams to create and modify designs, support prototype builds, and incorporate test feedback into design iterations. This position provides exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, including design, fabrication support, and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Entry level experience (0–2 years), including internships, co ops, or academic project work
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings (GD&T standards)
• Experience with 3D CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Exposure to instrumentation, sensors, optical probes, or test hardware
• Familiarity with gas turbines, turbomachinery, or high temperature applications
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or fabrication processes
• Analysis experience with Ansys, Inventor, or Fusion
• Interest in hands on engineering and working closely with hardware and testing teams
