Job Description
Our client's Finance, Technology & Innovation organization is accelerating business‑led process automation, analytics, and data efficiency across Finance, Accounting, and FP&A. We’re seeking an experienced process oriented and technical consultant to act as the operational right hand to the Director, orchestrating delivery across a squad of Power Platform and Alteryx consultants and ensuring outcomes that directly improve financial processes and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
Own the end‑to‑end delivery plan for Finance innovation initiatives—intake, prioritization, backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and release management—ensuring measurable impact on Finance/Accounting/FP&A outcomes.
Translate business objectives into clear project scopes, acceptance criteria, and value hypotheses for analytics and automation work (Power BI dashboards & models; Alteryx workflows & data pipelines).
Maintain an outcomes‑based roadmap that balances quick wins with platform sustainability; coordinate dependencies with enterprise IT and data teams while keeping ownership with the business.
Team Management (Power Platform / Alteryx Consultants)
Provide day‑to‑day direction for a multi‑consultant squad, including sprint goals, issue triage, and delivery unblockers; facilitate technical design reviews for DAX models, semantic layers, Alteryx ETL patterns, and data quality controls.
Establish development standards (naming conventions, versioning, deployment pipelines, access controls, documentation) and enforce peer reviews and validation before production release.
Coach consultants on business context and “automation mindset,” ensuring solutions align to process excellence and continuous improvement principles.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
Lead recurring touchpoints with Finance leadership, process owners, and IT partners; align on priorities, communicate progress, and manage expectation setting.
Drive adoption through training plans, playbooks, and metrics that demonstrate business value and transparency.
Governance, Compliance & Vendor Management
Run a crisp governance cadence (stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, risk/issue reviews); maintain artifacts (charter, RACI, RAID).
Ensure SOW/MSA compliance for external resources (e.g., payment terms, conversion terms) and operational hygiene
Measurement & Reporting
Define and track KPIs: cycle time, defect escape rate, adoption/usage, financial impact (hours saved, error reduction), and stakeholder satisfaction—reporting up to the Director and Finance leadership.
Finance innovation at our client is a business‑owned transformation. The Lead ensures the business gets reliable, secure, and scalable automation—coordinating closely with IT while keeping Finance needs front and center.
Pay will be between $65.00-$85.00 depending on the skills and qualifications of candidate.
