Job Description
• Conduct benefits open enrollments, orientations, and prepare and distribute benefits enrollment materials and document administrative procedures for benefit enrollments.
• They also serve as the primary contact with carriers, brokers, outsourced payroll provider and third-party administrators, responding to benefits inquiries from employees relating to status changes, clarifying plan provisions, and other general inquiries.
• This position processes leaves of absence requests, disability paperwork, FMLA, medical and personal leaves as well as exit letters for terminations.
• Overseeing maintenance of employee benefits files, maintaining groups benefits databases/portals and updating employee records.
• Coordinates the PTO program and serves as the lead resource for input, maintenance and quality checks and acts as a liaison to the outsourced payroll processor to accurately update employee records, deductions and compensation.
• Secondary duties are to reconcile payroll and benefits invoices and balance the reports to ensure accuracy of billing.
• Coordinate, plan and execute company events.
• Processing the weekly expense reports for all pertinent staff
• Assisting in the research and drafting of appropriate company policies (SOP Documents)
• Supporting special projects in the finance department such as annual governmental reporting, auditing and updating the SMT forms
• Maintaining the fixed asset system and ensuring its accurate and complete in regards to new fixed assets

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related fields required.
• Familiarity with carrier billing and reconciling to payroll deductions
• Proficiency in MS Office products (primarily Excel, Word and Outlook) and Teams.
• Working knowledge of an ERP system is a plus.
• Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations filing and compliance requirements and other laws affecting benefit programs such as FMLA, COBRA, and Section 125.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with general instruction and broad work expectations under tight deadlines.
• Physical conditions require sitting, walking, talking and hearing, using hands to type, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching and stretching. Continuous ability to lift 10 pounds; Frequent ability to lift 15 pounds and Infrequent ability to lift 50 pounds
