Job Description

* Will oversee managing their own projects and assisting in helping junior civil engineers with any issues on their own projects (Team of 6 civil engineers at all levels of experience)

o Design of utilities, roadways, general site development, grading and drainage, best management practices, erosion control, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, hydraulics

o Drainage studies include low impact development strategies & hydrology.

o Preparation of drawings, specifications, basis of design, technical memos.

o Preparation of permits such as NPDES, SWPPP, Grading, DCAB, Civil Support of an Environmental Assessment

* Types of projects: data center design, megawatt campus, substation design, large amazon industrial, parking lots, auto turn (truck turn arounds), stormwater, waterline design.

* Take charge of administrative duties: provide technical numbers on proposals, estimate the number of hours needed to complete a project, how many people are needed, how many designers?

o May have formal supervisory responsibilities defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed

* Communicate with clients to discuss work scope, request information to support project execution, and receive client comments on draft work products

* Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

Required Skills & Experience

* Must be a licensed PE -- Professional Engineer

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, plus eight (8) years of relevant Civil Engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

* 2 years of demonstrated Civil Engineering Management experience

* Must have experience with CAD Civil 3D

* Commercial or Industrial background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Desire to be mentored by leadership and provide mentorship to junior staff

* Excellent working knowledge of BIM-Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Sketchup, Lumion, V-Ray and Rhino 3D

* Experience in Autodesk Revit

* Experience with Bluebeam, Navisworks, Bentley

* Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations

* Excellent oral and written communication skills
