The Senior Project Manager, reporting into the Corporate Portfolio in the Nutrien Business Solutions PMO, is accountable for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects that drive strategic value for the organization. This role requires deep expertise in project planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on governance, risk management, financial oversight, and resource planning. Acting as a key liaison between business and technical teams, the Senior Project Manager ensures that initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with Project Sponsors, Business Lead and Key Stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with business priorities and dependencies.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute project tasks, monitor progress, and manage project performance to ensure timely delivery.
Apply project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) to ensure effective execution.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on status, risks, and key decisions.
Define project governance structures, facilitate steering committee meetings, and ensure alignment with NBS PMO governance standards.
Act as the primary liaison between Executive & Project Sponsors, Business Lead, Steering Committee and project team to ensure project alignment and issue resolution.
Create and maintain project updates in the Finance PMO App (RAID, changes, lessons etc.)
Prepare and/or contribute to executive level presentations in accordance to project governance structure.
Risk, Financial & Change Management
Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues, including escalation and mitigation planning.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and cost controls.
Collaborate with change managers to plan and implement change strategies that support successful adoption and minimize disruption.
Resource Planning
Identify resource needs and work with the Sr. Manager, Corporate Portfolio to secure appropriate team members and subject matter experts.
Monitor resource allocation and capacity, addressing conflicts and constraints to maintain delivery momentum.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to project team members as needed.

10+ years of progressive experience in program or project management
Industry-recognized certification in Project Management.
Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, governance frameworks, and facilitating executive-level communication and decision-making.
Strong proficiency in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Advanced skills in risk and issue management, with the ability to anticipate and resolve complex challenges.
Experienced in change management principles and driving adoption of business and operational change.
Proven ability to design and deliver visually compelling and professional presentations using PowerPoint, with strong attention to clarity, storytelling, and audience engagement.
Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing multiple priorities with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
