Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Payroll Lead to support a large Canadian retailer with an Oracle Cloud HCM implementation. This is an initial 6 month, fully remote contract opportunity with a high possibility of extension. They will be a an essential resource that will be responsible for the following:
· Run payroll iterations, identifying data discrepancy from the mainframe to the new implemented Oracle HCM Cloud
· Payroll reconciliation testing, identifying payroll data variance and investigating why data does not align
· Work closely with configuration team to communicate data variance error
· Oversee and manage process/reporting improvements
· Provide leadership, planning, and direction to the payroll implementation team
· Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll law taking into consideration how this impacts wages
· Collaborate with the implementation partner and ensure the needs of the organization are met

Required Skills & Experience
· Oracle Cloud HCM or Oracle Fusion payroll implementation experience
· Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
· Possess at least 10 years of relevant and progressive payroll experience
· Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
· Experience running test scripts, documenting findings, identifying system discrepancies, and resolving data transfer issues
· Prior experience runnning payroll or supporting payroll implementation with a large and complex organizations made up of employees with varying terms of employment (ie- unionized, non-unionized, varying provincial legislation, hourly or salaried wages)
· Enjoy working as a team and collaborating with others to meet shared objectives while maintaining a high level of detail
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially with Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Formal payroll education from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) or equivalent experience (HRPA, CIPP, CPP)
