Job Description
We are seeking a Senior OnBase Developer / Technical Lead for a 6‑month contract with a high likelihood of extension. The preferred work locations are Guelph, Regina, or Calgary. This role will play a critical part in an in‑flight upgrade of the Hyland OnBase platform to version 25, including modernizing legacy components and implementing REST‑based integrations.
The successful candidate will be a hands‑on developer and technical leader, responsible for building API wrappers, enhancing and supporting the OnBase ecosystem, and providing Level 3 production support. This is a full‑suite role—beyond a single project—requiring involvement in development, system enhancements, upgrade planning, and ongoing operational support within a small, cross‑functional team.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of overall software development experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Hyland OnBase (v23+ strongly preferred)
- Strong experience with .NET and C#
- Proven API development experience, including REST‑based services
- Experience upgrading or modernizing legacy systems to newer architectures
Azure experience, including:
- Logic Apps
- OAuth authentication
- Containers
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for production (Level 3) support
- Experience supporting and enhancing document management systems
- Ability to work across development, support, and upgrade initiatives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within small teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with OnBase Foundations or recent versions (v23, v25)
- Leadership experience, including mentoring developers and reviewing code
- Experience designing solutions and delegating work within a technical team
- Knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise system integrations
- Exposure to insurance or financial services environments
- Experience with similar document management platforms:
- Laserfiche
- DocuWare
- OpenText Documentum
- Experience with Azure‑based video storage or streaming solutions
