Cost Controller

Insight Global is looking to bring in a Project Cost Controller from one of our largest Mining clients. The project cost controller will joining the underground team on a 6 month contract to work on a very complex project. The candidate must demonstrate a superior ability to work with people and to assist at the project level when required. A functional working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a mandatory requirement of this position. Candidate must be willing and able to demonstrate proficiency. Opportunity for advancement to assist Project Managers is available for the right individual. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, cost monitoring, reporting, cost optimizing and forecasting for the project and assisting the project manager in following a scheduled budget.

5+ years working within the cost controls space
Exposure to working within the mining industry or similar such as construction
Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables/ V and X look ups)
Strong understanding of managing and reporting on project financials
Ability to document and accurately present up to date cost analysis of project financials
