Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a SOX Compliance Consultant for a Fortune 10 client with a high volume of work. This individual will serve as a strategic audit leader, driving SOX and SOC1 compliance readiness, interfacing with Big Four auditors, and executing high-impact initiatives tied to ITGC design, control evaluation, and remediation. The role is highly autonomous and suited to professionals who can operate with minimal oversight while guiding broader compliance maturity efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end SOX and SOC1 audit engagements across infrastructure, cloud, and applications
• Act as a subject matter expert on access management, change management, and IPE control domains
• Serve as the primary liaison to external auditors, managing walkthroughs, audit findings, and evidence reviews
• Evaluate existing ITGC controls and advise on improvements or automation
• Lead remediation planning and ensure sustainability of compliance enhancements
• Provide peer review, QA of testing work, and mentorship to junior team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, audit, legal, and GRC stakeholders

Compensation:
$50-58/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

o 8+ years of hands-on SOX, SOC1, and ITGC audit experience
o Proven track record managing external audits, ideally with Big Four firms
o Deep technical understanding of enterprise IT architecture, risk, and control frameworks
• Skills:
o Expertise in NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, HIPAA, and PCI compliance
o Strong stakeholder engagement and audit response leadership
o Proficiency in compliance tooling (e.g., Archer, AuditBoard, ServiceNow GRC)
o Excellent communication and documentation skills
o CRISC and CPA highly preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certifications are a plus, but strongly preferred: CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CPA
Experience working at a large publicly traded bank or insurance company
