Job Description
A healthcare insurance client is looking for a .Net Software Engineer to join their team remotely. This position is open because the client is looking to modernize an existing application that handles quality control, file management, and data reporting for Medicare Part D and Part C programs. This is a Microsoft based technology stack and the application is written in .Net. This application also delivers reports and files to the client for them to send to CMS. This position is responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing, and implementing Business Intelligence solutions to meet the customer’s expectations while strengthening and expanding existing application architecture. This position will maintain and enhance the existing system by writing high quality code, reviewing, and assessing existing code, performing unit testing and peer reviews to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Work is performed in partnership with an existing team of software engineers. Additionally, this position may assist Data Engineers with maintaining SQL code for the applications backend.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of application development experience on .NET platform working with ASP.NET Webforms, C#, JavaScript, XML, VB.NET, and HTML
3+ years of experience with T_SQL and Entity Framework
Experience participating in all aspects of the SDLC including design and delivery of reporting solutions across
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with TFS (Team Foundation Server) and GitHub
Knowledge of Windows server, IIS Administration is a plus
