Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot and solid frontend experience using React and Angular. This role focuses primarily on backend development (approximately 60%) while maintaining meaningful hands-on contribution to the frontend (40%).
The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-quality applications in a cloud-based environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
Backend Development (60%)
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, or JMockit
• Write and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
• Apply security best practices, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT-based authentication
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
Frontend Development (40%)
• Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services
• Implement frontend unit and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress
• Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to ensure seamless integration across application tiers

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Working knowledge of application security concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure and/or AWS
• 3+ years of frontend development experience, with recent hands-on work using:
o React
o TypeScript
o CSS
o Angular
o API integration and data ingestion
