Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to support one of the organization’s core digital portfolios.
The RTE will be responsible for coordinating, aligning, and driving execution across multiple Agile teams within a single Agile Release Train. This role partners closely with product, engineering, and enterprise delivery teams to ensure successful delivery of large-scale initiatives.
This individual must have strong experience within a SAFe environment, as well as exposure to Clarity for financial tracking, allocations, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Planning
• Lead and facilitate PI Planning sessions
• Support upcoming planning cycles (shadowing Q3, leading Q4 execution)
• Align teams on priorities, dependencies, and delivery objectives
Agile Release Train Coordination
• Oversee and coordinate delivery across multiple Agile/Scrum teams within a single ART
• Ensure teams remain aligned to shared goals and timelines
• Manage cross-team dependencies and drive accountability
Risk, Dependency & Issue Management
• Identify, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and escalations
• Act as the central escalation point for program-level blockers
• Provide visibility into delivery risks and mitigation strategies
Agile Ceremonies & Governance
• Facilitate program-level ceremonies, including:
o Scrum of Scrums
o ART Syncs
o System Demos
o Retrospectives
o Inspect & Adapt sessions
• Ensure consistent execution of SAFe best practices across teams
Stakeholder Alignment
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product, and engineering teams
• Provide clear communication on progress, risks, and delivery timelines
• Partner with Enterprise Delivery to ensure execution alignment
Coaching & Continuous Improvement
• Coach teams on Agile and SAFe methodologies
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and team collaboration
Financial & Resource Alignment (Clarity/PPM)
• Partner closely with program/project teams managing Clarity allocations and financial tracking
• Support visibility into funding, resource allocation, and forecasting
• Ensure alignment between delivery progress and financial planning

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Agile program delivery or Release Train Engineer role
• Strong experience within SAFe framework (certification preferred – SAFe RTE)
• Proven ability to manage multiple Agile teams and cross-team dependencies
• Experience facilitating large-scale Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, ART syncs, etc.)
• Experience with Clarity or similar PPM tools for financial tracking, allocations, and reporting
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience within Healthcare / Health Insurance environments
