Job Description

A healthcare insurance provider is looking for an IT Audit Response Specialist to join their team remotely aligned to Eastern Standard Time. This team is responsible for Data Policy & Protection, Data Security. and Audit Readiness for the organization. This is open because they are in need of additional support for Management Action Plan (MAP) audit readiness. The IT Audit Response Specialist will be responsible for supporting critical internal audit work by working directly with stakeholders to review, remedy, and respond to MAPs. On a daily basis this person will be responsible for coordinating and managing responses to IT audits focusing on cloud security and data governance, collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and evidence for audit responses, and reviewing and analyzing audit findings while identifying areas of improvement. They will need to develop and implement action plans to address audit recommendations and mitigate risk while maintaining up to date knowledge of cloud security best practices and data governance frameworks. They will need to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CCPA, NIST). This person will be responsible for providing training and support to staff on audit response process and requirements, and prepare details reports and presentations for senior management on audit outcomes and remediation progress. They will monitor and track the status of audit findings to ensure a timely resolution. Exemplary communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are a must have for this position.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in IT Audit response with a focus on cloud security and data governance
Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security frameworks
Knowledge of data protection regulations and standards
Strong and proactive communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
CISA, CISSP, or CCSP certification
