Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Full‑Stack Java/Angular Developer to enhance and extend an existing enterprise application built with Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. This application displays and processes data files originating from a mainframe system, and upcoming work focuses on improving functionality, performance, and deployment workflows. This is a 3–6 month contract with immediate needs. Initial work is expected to take around three months, with the possibility of extension as the application is adopted and additional enhancements are identified.
Key Responsibilities
Enhance and maintain an existing Java/Spring Boot/Angular application.
Implement new features to support the display and processing of mainframe‑formatted data files.
Analyze and interpret data files with unique mainframe structures; collaborate with team members to ensure accurate handling and presentation.
Build, test, and deploy application updates in a Kubernetes environment.
Ensure smooth operation of the application within Kubernetes pods, including troubleshooting deployment and runtime issues.
Work across the full stack to support UI, API, and backend data processing enhancements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
Support database‑related tasks, including queries, schema updates, and performance considerations.
$10-12/hour

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of Software Development experience with a strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
Hands‑on database experience (SQL or similar).
Experience working with mainframe systems or mainframe‑formatted data files.
Ability to work independently on enhancements to an existing codebase.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with enterprise data processing patterns.
