Job Description
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge AI/ML initiatives within a large healthcare/pharmaceutical enterprise, focusing on building agentic AI workflows and end-to-end Generative AI capabilities in a Google Cloud (GCP) and Kubernetes (GKE) environment. Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Design and Develop AI Solutions
o Build agentic AI workflows and solutions leveraging LLMs and advanced GenAI techniques.
o Design and implement AI-driven microservices that integrate seamlessly into enterprise systems.
o Develop NLP pipelines for healthcare-related use cases.
• Backend Engineering
o Develop and maintain backend microservices using Python, Java, and Spring Boot.
o Build and integrate APIs (GraphQL and REST) for scalable service communication.
• Cloud and Infrastructure
o Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GKE).
o Work with Google Cloud Spanner (Postgres dialect) and messaging tools like Confluent Kafka (or similar).
o Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
• ML Integration and Operations
o Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps teams to integrate ML models into production workflows.
o Enable continuous learning and model retraining workflows using Vertex AI or Kubeflow on GCP.
o Implement observability and reliability for AI decisions by logging predictions, confidence scores, and fallbacks into data lakes or monitoring tools.
• Performance and Scalability
o Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AI services.
o Optimize workflows for performance and cost efficiency in a cloud-native environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Partner with product teams, data engineers, and compliance stakeholders to align AI solutions with business and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
· 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Restful APIs
· Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
· 2+ years’ experience integrating or consuming ML/AI models in production environments (e.g. RESTful ML APIs, TensorFlow Serving or Vertex AI Endpoints)
· Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts; experience deploying services on GKE
· Familiarity with Vertex AI, Kubeflow or similar AI platforms on GCP for model training and serving
· Familiarity with ML model lifecycle - from data ingestion, training, deployment, to real-time inference (MLOPS)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Understanding of GenAI use cases, LLM prompt engineering and agentic orchestration (e.g. LangChain, transformers)
· Experience deploying Python-based ML Services into Java microservice ecosystems (via REST, gRPC or sidecar patterns)
· Knowledge of claim adjudication, Rx domain logic or healthcare specific workflow automation
· Experience working with structured and unstructured data (e.g. Rx Claim metadata, clinical documents, NLP processing).
