Applied AI Engineer

We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join our the Consumer Analytics organization for our healthcare client. This role focuses on implementing a solution that scrapes through digital assets and enables advanced retrieval using RAG-based search. The team currently has an AI code base that is not RAG-enabled, and your mission will be to design and implement an end-to-end RAG system on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work as an individual contributor under a lead, alongside a peer, and play a key role in selecting technologies, coding in Python, and integrating applied AI techniques. This position offers the opportunity to shape the architecture and deliver a robust solution that enhances digital asset discoverability and user experience.

· Proven hands-on experience in GenAI Ops, including implementing LLM and RAG applications in production.
· Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
· Expertise in LangChain framework and OpenAI API (chat completions, embeddings, etc.).
· Experience with GCP, MongoDB, and NLP.
· Ability to apply guardrails and observability to LLM or RAG-powered applications.
· Knowledge of LLMs as Judges and SMLs for evaluation (attribution, adherence, bias, PII).
· Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes for containerized AI workloads.
· Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical functionality.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of UX design principles.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
Experience in crafting value propositions and driving business narratives.
