Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Report Writer to join our team. The Database Report Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports that provide valuable insights into our organization's data. This role requires a strong understanding of database systems, SQL querying, and report writing tools to effectively gather, analyze, and present data to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain reports using SQL querying and report writing tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, SSRS, Tableau) to meet business requirements.

· Collaborate with business users to gather report requirements and understand data analysis needs.

· Design and implement SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data from databases for reporting purposes.

· Create visually appealing and informative reports that present data in a clear and understandable format.

· Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.

· Customize and configure report templates and layouts to meet specific reporting needs.

· Optimize report performance and efficiency by analyzing and tuning SQL queries and data retrieval processes.

· Document report specifications, data definitions, and report generation processes.

· Provide training and support to end users on accessing and interpreting reports.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database reporting and analytics.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

· Proven experience as a Database Report Writer, Data Analyst, or similar role.

· Strong proficiency in SQL querying and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL)

· Experience with report writing tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, Tableau, or similar.

· Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.

· Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and Workday Adaptive.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and methodologies is a plus.

· Certification in database reporting tools or related technologies is a plus.

Experience with Deacom a plus.
