Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Lead is for it's chemical manufacturing clients in East Providence, Rhode Island. This will be a hands-on technician who serves as a working lead for day-to-day maintenance activities. This position supports the coordination of tasks, prioritizes work based on urgency and production needs, and ensures maintenance operations are performed safely and effectively. While this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, the Maintenance Lead acts as a key point of contact for the maintenance team and collaborates closely with leadership, production, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform skilled maintenance work including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Serve as the primary contact for coordinating maintenance activities during the shift, helping prioritize work based on equipment status and production needs.
• Support communication between technicians and management to ensure work orders and preventative maintenance tasks are understood and completed timely.
• Provide informal leadership, mentorship, and support to maintenance technicians through example and technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE use, and other safe work practices.
• Assist with documenting maintenance work, updating CMMS records, and reporting any issues or delays.
• Help coordinate resources, tools, and materials needed for planned maintenance and unplanned repairs.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in equipment installations, modifications, and project-based maintenance as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, motors, conveyors, pumps, and fabrication equipment.
• Forklift or aerial lift certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied physical conditions, and respond to emergencies on off-hours if needed.
