Job Description

Insight Global is looking to bring on a Technician - Digital Electronic (Testing) for a large upcoming project. You will be required to work onsite 5x in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. Your routine tasks are to test equipment or write scripts that test software in electronic products, collect and analyze data, write reports for engineers, and engage in inspection and troubleshooting when equipment or products are malfunctioning. You should be comfortable performing bench tests with signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. You should have some communications protocol experience as well as working with programmable chips.

Required Skills & Experience

-2-5 years of experience
-Knowledge of English, French written and oral
-College Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
-Perform bench tests with signal generators, oscilloscopes, differential probes, digital circuit analyzers, logic analyzers and complementary equipment (e.g. serial links, power sources, etc.)
-Test electronic assemblies using various test scripts or manual measurements
-Carry out thermal and vacuum thermal testing of various electronic subassemblies and units
-Assemble and modify developmental electronic circuits according to specific guidelines
-Assemble, modify and verify test benches and/or test equipment
-Assemble, modify and test cable harnesses
-Record test or experiment results
-Install test electronic assemblies in their test jigs
-Experience with communication protocols such as RS-232, SPI
