Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist/Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background and 35 years of hands-on experience leading technical projects to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, Quebec. This hybrid role blends project management with applied data science, focusing on industrialization, automation, and AI-driven solutions in manufacturing environments
This role is 5x a week onsite in Longueuil, QC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects across automation, interoperability, and industrialization domains.
- Oversee project execution at suppliers, including onboarding, training, and deployment planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply management, quality, engineering) to ensure alignment and progress.
- Analyze and process 3D scan data, identifying and resolving issues such as noise or missing data.
- Support development of ML algorithms to assess scan quality and compliance.
- Drive process control initiatives by identifying, processing, and utilizing manufacturing data effectively.
- Provide regular updates and briefings to stakeholders and leadership.

- Minor or coursework in Data Science or Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technologies and CAD tools (CATIA, NX, Creo).
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Project management tools like Jira, MS Project
