Insight Global is assisting a signal processing and optical telecommunications client of ours in West Chester, PA in identifying a Hardware & Mechanical Development Manager for an opening they have.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the development, deployment, and support of various Hardware and Mechanical team deliverables
Promote productivity within the Hardware and Mechanical Development team by communicating requirements, monitoring project status, and tracking peer design reviews
Coordinate with the Director of Engineering and cross-functional teams to delegate assignments and achieve organizational objectives
Provide career management and development of Hardware and Mechanical Development team members
Consult with systems engineering and project leads to capture Hardware and Mechanical design requirements for WMIs optical telecommunication products
Collaborate with end-users to drive user features and product roadmaps
Facilitate customer technical support for products, including design improvements and new feature implementation

At least 5 years of experience in PCB (printed circuit board) development and manufacturing is a benefit
Understanding of electronic hardware circuitry is a benefit
Experienced with electronic laboratory and/or optical test equipment preferred
Experience with a quality management system (QMS) such as ISO9001 is a plus
