Job Description

A growing pharmaceutical organization is looking for a Senior Director of IT Strategy to partner closely with the CIO. This role will be pivotal in shaping technology strategy, leading complex transformation initiatives, and ensuring the global IT organization operates at peak efficiency. The position will align strategic priorities with execution and foster strong engagement across IT and business stakeholders.
The Senior Director will orchestrate the IT organization’s rhythm of business—integrating strategic planning, goal setting, performance tracking, governance, communications, and cross-functional initiatives—to drive impact, transparency, and accountability. Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, strong business acumen, and the ability to distill complex technical and organizational concepts into clear narratives and actionable insights for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the CIO and IT leadership to define, communicate, and execute strategic priorities and the operating model.
• Ensure alignment of the CIO’s agenda, communications, and decisions with organizational priorities and timelines.
• Own and manage the IT rhythm of business, including leadership meetings, QBRs, portfolio reviews, and decision/action tracking.
• Oversee portfolio and operational metrics to provide visibility into performance, risks, and dependencies.
• Act as a communications leader for the CIO—developing presentations, reports, and talking points for ELT/Board updates and company-wide communications.
• Serve as an extension of the CIO—driving accountability, enabling decision-making, and ensuring follow-through on key commitments.
• Apply deep expertise in IT operating models, governance structures, and performance management frameworks.
