Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Allocation Specialist to support one of our clients in the Oil/Gas Industry. This individual will be apart of their Measurement & Allocation team, with a primary focus on FlowCal support, gas measurement validation, and Excel‑based analysis. This role provides hands‑on exposure to how field measurement data flows into accounting systems and supports both daily and monthly production processes.
This is a detail‑oriented, data‑heavy role well suited for someone who enjoys working in Excel, validating numbers, and supporting accounting and measurement workflows.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with reviewing and validating gas measurement data within FlowCal
• Identifying missing, inconsistent, or unusual data points and escalating findings as needed
• Supporting routine data checks tied to daily and monthly volume processes
• Learning how meter data flows from the field into measurement and accounting systems
• Maintaining documentation related to data reviews, corrections, and validation steps
• Supporting basic production accounting tasks for gas, condensate, and NGL
• Assisting with volume reconciliation between measurement data and production reports
• Preparing simple summaries, tracking spreadsheets, and recurring reports
• Working extensively in Excel to organize, filter, and analyze large data sets
Supporting ad‑hoc data requests and special projects as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Production Accounting within the Oil & Gas industry (Or related IE Water Waste)
• Strong Excel skills
-Filtering, organizing, and validating large data sets
-Performing calculations, reconciliations, and basic reporting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Revenue accounting experience
-Understanding how production volumes translate into revenue to provide valuable context when validating data and identifying discrepancies that may impact financial reporting.
• Measurement calibration experience
-Knowledge of meter calibration and measurement accuracy to identify potential root causes of data anomalies and improves overall data quality during validation and review.
• Experience using FlowCal
-Direct experience reviewing, validating, and troubleshooting measurement data within FlowCal
