Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Java Tech Lead to join one of its large financial services clients. This role is needed to enable the client to create a new team to modernize their fees team within their wealth platform.
The Java Lead will be responsible for mentoring a team of 10 offshore developers with design and development. Ensuring the offshore team builds the right solution the right way by reducing defects and speeding up delivery by removing technical blockers quickly.
As an individual contributor the Java Tech Lead serves as a hands‑on senior engineer responsible for designing, building, and enhancing cloud‑based Java applications within a wealth management fees platform. Day to day work includes writing and reviewing Java code, creating microservices and APIs, working with databases, and supporting deployments through modern DevOps tools. The role requires deep technical expertise, ownership of complex components, and the ability to solve production issues while following financial services standards for accuracy, performance, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven Technical Lead experience managing resources
- Lead level experience with Java, Java Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Kafka and cloud native applications
- Experience with DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous SEI employee— will enable immediate ramp-up
- Experience supporting wealth management or financial services platforms - less ramp up
- Exposure to or hands-on use of AI tools in development or productivity workflows
