Job Description

The Resident Engineer provides dedicated technical support, implementation, and operational assistance for Cisco products and solutions, ensuring customer network stability and performance. This role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining specific Cisco technologies, working closely with customer (on site) to address their day-to-day technical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational support and problem resolution for assigned customer engagements on Cisco products and solutions, with a specific focus on Wireless, Routing and Switching, Catalyst Center (CatCenter), and Meraki technologies.
Assist customers with the integration and implementation of tools and systems.
Collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams (e.g., Cisco account teams) to ensure seamless support delivery.
Support the execution of delivery projects by contributing to implementation and change management plans.
Utilize software skills and tools to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco products and solutions.
Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with customers, embedding themselves as a seamless extension of the customer’s team.
Understand customer pain points and identify new opportunities for value creation.

Required Skills & Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in network engineering or technical support.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Proficiency in Hungarian (written and spoken) is required.
Strong practical experience with Cisco Wireless solutions.
Proficiency in Cisco Routing and Switching technologies.
Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (CatCenter) for network management.
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki products and dashboard.
Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with customers and internal teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is desirable.
Experience with DevNet concepts and tools is desirable but not mandatory.
