Job Description

We are seeking a mechanical engineer to take ownership of the design of a mechanical subsystem for a new high-speed, high-precision semiconductor assembly machine. This role involves creating thorough and professional CAD models of machine parts and assemblies, including motion systems, as well as developing detailed design documentation and engineering drawings. The engineer will support the fabrication and build of production systems, perform mechanical measurements and testing to optimize the performance of both new and existing designs, and provide expert technical support to field engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

· Degree in Mechanical engineering (BS minimum, MS preferred)
· 4-8 years of hand-on engineering development experience with electromechanical systems
· CAD program experience
· GD&T knowledge
· Experience with mechanical measurements such as motion accuracy, force, temperature, vibration, and pneumatics.
· Attention to detail and good understanding of physical principles governing machine behavior
· Effective verbal & written communication skills, a positive attitude, an open mindset and a team-oriented individual
· Must be self-driven, resourceful and organized
Able to work in an environment with heavy multi-site engineering and cross functional collaboration

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience with Siemens NX
· Experience with finite element analysis software
Ability to use sophisticated software tools for analysis (e.g. MATLAB, Python, etc)
