Job Description
This role supports enterprise data management and platform modernization, with a hands-on focus on data integration, storage, governance, and performance optimization. The Lead Data Engineer works primarily as an individual contributor while providing 10–15% support and guidance to the team.
The role centers on migrating and optimizing data workloads in Microsoft Fabric and Azure, supporting analytics modernization and increased project volume. Responsibilities include designing scalable data solutions, managing data pipelines and lifecycle processes, optimizing Fabric notebooks and deployments, supporting high availability and recovery strategies, implementing governance and security standards, collaborating across technical teams, monitoring and tuning performance, maintaining documentation, and providing technical review and team support.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6-7+ years in data engineering or data management/analysis
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Python, SQL, and CI/CD
- Experience supporting data pipelines, performance tuning, and deployments
- Working knowledge of security, backup, and high availability
- Able to manage multiple projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Healthcare or payer environment experience
- Epic experience or certifications (Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito)
