Job Description
The Permitting Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end permitting process for telecommunications projects, including fiber optic and wireless deployments. This role ensures compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations, facilitates timely approvals, and supports project schedules through proactive coordination with internal teams and external agencies.
Permit Application Management:
Prepare, review, and submit permit applications for aerial, underground, and joint-use projects.
Track and update permitting schedules, deadlines, and status reports.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all applications meet local, county, and state requirements.
Maintain accurate records of submittals, approvals, and compliance documentation.
Coordination & Communication:
Act as liaison between engineering, construction teams, and permitting authorities.
Collaborate with city officials, utility companies, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
Technical Review:
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications related to permitting.
Review FTTH network designs in AutoCAD and GIS systems for accuracy.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain permitting logs and databases.
Provide regular updates to project managers and leadership on permit status.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years in telecom or construction permitting.
Familiarity with aerial, underground, and joint-use permitting processes.
Understanding of local and state permitting regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
