Job Description
A large healthcare provider is looking to hire 3 remote Category Managers to focus on their capital strategic sourcing. This position advises and
guides business units regarding the application and integration of procurement philosophies and techniques to meet the needs of
identified internal customer requirements using a global category view. This individual is responsible for sourcing, negotiating,
contracting, and purchasing complex categories by influencing teams with various levels of employees and management to
leverage buying power and recommend appropriate procurement strategies and tactics to obtain desired results. Extensive interaction with Business Units, Leadership, Finance, Legal, and suppliers is required to ensure that total costs are identified, and
optimal savings are realized in executing a contract. Goods and services are reviewed by this position and managed across the company for all locations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic category sourcing through data‑driven category strategies, ensuring continuity of supply, quality, and measurable cost savings. Drive continuous improvement and provide high‑quality sourcing support to stakeholders.
• Partner with business units and key stakeholders for assigned categories to influence decisions, challenge the status quo, and plan sourcing activities aligned to business targets.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives end‑to‑end, including RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract lifecycle management, and collaboration with legal to mitigate risk and maximize total value.
• Monitor market trends and supply‑demand shifts; leverage analytics, cost modeling, and financial analysis to support fact‑based decisions, business cases, and savings tracking. Support supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives where viable.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare or equivalent experiene.
-6+ years of experience developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and supporting organizational goals within strategic sourcing or supply chain functions.
-Experience with capital strategic sourcing is required
-Experience providing benchmarking and analysis, adopotion of terms and conditions, negiotating/ redling with vendors, etc.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remotely build relationships with stakeholders
