Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a field-based Senior Fire Alarm Commissioning Technician opportunity supporting commercial customers throughout Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The role is responsible for commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and validating fire alarm and life safety systems while serving as a technical lead on projects. Candidates should have at least 5 years of commercial fire alarm experience, strong knowledge of NFPA codes and AHJ requirements, the ability to read construction drawings, and experience troubleshooting fire alarm systems, wiring, and controls. This individual will work closely with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to coordinate installations, manage project documentation, conduct final inspections, and ensure successful project closeout. Experience with Siemens fire alarm systems and NICET II certification are highly preferred, as the ideal candidate can independently manage smaller projects, support larger installations, and act as both a technical expert and customer-facing resource in the field.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10+ years of dedicated experience executing fire alarm installation and commissioning projects in a construction environment (not solely service, inspection, testing, or maintenance experience)
• NICET II or NICET III Certification
• Experience with Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, or Simplex Fire Systems
•Project Management experience managing fire alarm projects from installation through commissioning and turnover (new construction, renovations, expansions, and system upgrades)
• Technical fire alarm & commissioning expertise (drawings, code compliance, programming, commissioning systems, etc)
• Familiarity with project financial impacts, scheduling, and execution
