Job Description

One of our aerospace clients is focused on designing and supporting a wide range of products across the globe including Vertical Lift Programs, Commercial Aircraft, Fixed Wing Fighters, Satellites, Space Launch Systems, and many others. Join a team focused on writing the future of aviation! As a PDC Design Engineer you will have the opportunity to support a variety of products interfacing with multiple disciplines including Structures Design and Stress Analysis, Mechanical Systems, Dynamic Components, and Electrical systems.

Main functions include:
Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Works under general supervision.

Required Skills & Experience

Proficient in CAD
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Civil Engineering with 2-3 years of experience
GD&T Experience (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Aerospace Design Experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

FEM
Familiarity with aerospace structures
