Sr. Back End Developer - INDIA

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join our eCommerce team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust application software that powers our digital commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of system architecture, data integration, and development best practices, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Digital Product Owners, technical leads, QA engineers, and peers to define functional and technical requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the eCommerce platform’s data structures, components, integrations, and runtime environment.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of team standards, coding conventions, and development best practices.
• Partner with architects and technical leaders to identify optimal technical solutions, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
• Work with QA professionals to design effective test cases and prepare supporting test data.
• Contribute to project planning by estimating effort and timelines for deliverables.
• Identify and manage interdependencies across teams and coordinate development efforts accordingly.
• Engineer scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant applications, integrations, and data pipelines that serve as benchmarks for quality and performance.
• Build and enhance automated unit tests to ensure high code coverage, minimize defects, and improve application resilience.
• Adhere to established protocols for code management, information security, and release processes.
• Evaluate technical solutions with a focus on security, performance, and maintainability, and articulate best practices to stakeholders.
• Author and maintain comprehensive documentation, including contextual diagrams, technical specifications, procedures, configuration settings, and system dependencies.

• A minimum of 5 years developing and supporting solutions for a commercial enterprise using Magento 2.x (either open-source or Adobe)
• Strong proficiency in PHP development
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with MySQL or SQL Server including optimization of queries.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or a similar AMQP-like message broker
• Proficient understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL, including the ability to implement a new integration
• Bachelor’s degree (or demonstrable equivalent work experience) in information technology
