Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned CPQ Solutions Architect to lead the design, strategy, and delivery of enterprise‑grade Configure‑Price‑Quote capabilities. This role serves as the technical and functional authority across the Quote‑to‑Cash ecosystem, ensuring scalable architecture, optimized quoting experiences, and strong alignment between business requirements and platform design. The ideal candidate blends deep CPQ expertise with strong architectural leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and a track record of delivering complex commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
Own the end‑to‑end architecture for the CPQ platform, including configuration, pricing, quoting, approvals, and integrations.
Translate business strategy into scalable CPQ and Q2C architectures that support growth, product complexity, and evolving commercial models.
Design robust product configuration models, pricing frameworks, guided selling flows, and approval workflows.
Define architectural guardrails, data governance standards, and environment strategies for CPQ and related systems.
Implementation Leadership
Lead CPQ solution blueprinting, technical design sessions, and architectural decision‑making.
Oversee the development of configuration rules, pricing logic, discount structures, attribute frameworks, and automation.
Direct system integrations between CPQ, CRM, ERP, billing, and contract management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Conga/Apttus).
Champion reusable components, modular design, and best practices across environments.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales Operations, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and IT to understand requirements, roadmap needs, and user journeys.
Act as the primary CPQ SME to senior stakeholders—shaping quoting strategy, pricing governance, and product configuration design.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure architecture is executed accurately and maintainably.
Governance, Quality, & Optimization
Define and enforce architectural standards, configuration principles, and versioning strategy across environments.
Lead UAT, regression cycles, release planning, and platform performance improvements.
Identify system bottlenecks, gaps, and technical debt and guide remediation.
Drive continuous optimization of quoting speed, accuracy, and usability for sales teams.
Documentation & Enablement
Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, integration maps, and data models.
Provide training, knowledge transfer, and best‑practice guidance for functional analysts, developers, and business users.
