Job Description

The Senior Internationalisation & Compliance Engineer will lead the implementation of globalization capabilities across our client's enterprise platforms. The role focuses on enabling country-specific legal, tax, financial, and compliance requirements while ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Globalization Engineering
Lead implementation of Internationalisation and Localization solutions across front-end and back-end platforms.
Develop reusable frameworks supporting:
Multi-language capabilities
Multi-currency processing
Locale-aware formatting
Regional business rules
Externalize user-facing content and translation resources.
Regulatory & Financial Localization
Implement solutions supporting:
VAT, GST, Sales Tax structures
Country-specific invoicing requirements
Regional taxation rules
Currency conversion and formatting
Compliance reporting requirements
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Product teams to validate country-specific requirements.
Design configuration-driven compliance capabilities to minimize custom code.
Oracle Integration
Work closely with Oracle ERP teams to ensure alignment between digital platforms and back-office systems.
Support integrations with:
Oracle Financials
Oracle Tax
Oracle Order Management
Oracle Supply Chain
Ensure consistency of compliance and financial data across systems.
Quality & Delivery
Support SIT, UAT, release readiness, and production deployments.
Drive automation coverage for I18N and compliance scenarios.
Conduct code reviews and mentor engineering teams.
Resolve complex defects related to localization, taxation, and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of software development experience
Strong experience building or enhancing ERP platforms or modules (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
Hands-on experience with Internationalization (I18N) / Localization (L10N) frameworks
Experience delivering enterprise-scale globalization solutions
Experience supporting country-specific compliance, tax, or financial requirements

Core Technical Skills

Familiarity with: I18N / L10N, CLDR, Unicode (UTF-8)
Resource bundles, translation management systems
Multi-language UI design
Backend development: Java, .NET, or Node.js
API development (REST/services)
Configuration-driven architecture patterns

ERP / Enterprise Platforms

Experience working within ERP ecosystems (any of the below):

Oracle ERP / Oracle Financials / Oracle Tax / SCM / OM
SAP (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.)
Other enterprise ERP platforms

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Global commerce / distribution / supply chain platforms
ERP / OMS / WMS ecosystem experience
Accessibility (a11y)
Large-scale digital transformation exposure
