Job Description

Overview:
Insight Global is in search of a Lead Operations & Maintenance Design Supervisor to join one of our largest Oil & Gas clients in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This resource will be responsible for supervising the design group responsible for design requests, redlines, updates coming primarily from the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Group. These requests could be related, but not limited to, facility layout, equipment design, maintenance strategy, safety and compliance, operational efficiency, etc. This person will be the final sign off for designs ensuring both accuracy and quality of final design products.

Day to Day:
- Review incoming design requests, redlines, and updates from the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) group related to facility layout, equipment design, maintenance strategy, safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Prioritize and delegate design tasks to the design group based on project timelines and resource availability.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the design team in developing and revising designs to meet the specific requirements outlined in the requests.
- Collaborate with the O&M group to ensure that design solutions align with operational needs, maintenance considerations, and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular meetings with the design team to discuss project progress, address technical challenges, and ensure adherence to quality and accuracy standards.
- Oversee the finalization of design products and provide the final sign-off, ensuring that designs meet accuracy, quality, and compliance requirements before submission.
- Liaise with project managers, O&M personnel, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and address any design-related inquiries or modifications.
- Mentor and support the professional development of the design team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and the advancement of design capabilities.
- Review and analyze new industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to operations and maintenance design, and incorporate relevant advancements into the design processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, operations, and regulatory compliance to integrate design solutions into operational activities effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7-15 years of design and drafting experience in oil and gas
- Extensive experience with CADWorx 3D modeling and AutoCAD.
- Piping Design related to the maintenance for Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, & Mainline Valve Sites
- Ability to read, understand & incorporate as-built surveys & redlines

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent experience work experience
- Broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards and practices such as ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, etc.
