Job Description

Overview:
Insight Global is in search of a Senior Facilities Design Supervisor to join one of our largest Oil & Gas clients in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This resource will be responsible for supervising the design group responsible for large projects related to compressor stations, large facilities, and various project requests that both internal and external. This person will be the final sign off for designs ensuring both accuracy and quality of final design products.

Day to Day:
- Review project schedules and priorities to plan the design team's workload.
- Lead and supervise the design group in developing designs for compressor stations, large facilities, and project requests.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather project requirements and ensure design alignment with expectations.
- Conduct regular meetings with the design team to discuss project progress, address any challenges, and provide guidance as needed.
- Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to integrate design solutions into project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements in all design activities.
- Review and approve final design products to ensure accuracy and quality before submission to clients or internal stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and support to the design team members, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Liaise with project managers and clients to address design-related inquiries, provide updates, and contribute to project reviews and presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7-15 years of design and drafting experience in oil and gas
- Extensive experience with CADWorx 3D modeling and AutoCAD.
- Deep understanding of Piping Design related to:
o Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, & Mainline Valve Sites, etc.
- Generating Isometrics from 3D model
- Ability to read, understand & incorporate As-Built Survey
- Experience with 3D modeling with facility projects through a typical 30/60/90 and/or IFR/IFA project life cycle.
- Experience checking the work of other designers
- Demonstrated leadership of a small team of piping designers.
- Experience with estimating and scheduling manpower for piping design projects.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent experience work experience
- Broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards and practices such as ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, etc.
